Chapter 5 reading Response

1. A word to describe Mrs.Watson is serious. For Example when Byron's lips got stuck to the windshield she said "what about hot water" because she really cared about his lips being stuck to the windshield and she didn't just want to pull him off like that. While Mr.Watson was just laughing.

2. A word to describe Mr.Watson is funny. Because when everybody was in the house he said "

3. Not much. Because Mr.Watson is funny. I think he would make a good dad if he wasn't so funny most of the time. So sometimes he should be serious with most things. And Mrs.Watson is likely always serious about things. For example when she found out Byron was still playing with matches she said she was going to burn him.pg.64

4. If I was Mrs.Watson I would have put him on punishment until he forgot there was a such thing called fire and I would be checking on him every second to make sure he wasn't doing something he wasn't suppose to be doing.

Why we shouldn't wear uniforms

I disagree with President Clinton's speech. Forcing students to wear uniforms is unfair, and it is also untrue that allowing student's to wear their own clothes creates violence and stops schools from teaching good values and citizenship. Uniforms don't solve the problems their supporters say they solve.

First, of all school uniforms won't stop inequality. Violence can still happen with the uniforms on or off. And students will still find a way to compare their clothes. It may be the jackets they wear to school or the sneakers they wear in gym class, but students will find a way to compete while wearing the uniforms. Uniforms really don't stop peer pressure.

For example, in "Say no to school uniforms" a girl said she thinks uniforms is good and a boy said he thinks school uniforms is bad.But in " First Impression" Patrice had a boring look so Shawna thought it was time to change her look because she was not going to meet new people. But Patrice didn't want to because if she change her look people wouldn't know her as her they will know her as somebody else. Also in "Say no to school uniforms"a girl said she like to express herself by wearing a T-shirt with her favorite band on it, jeans with sneakers and "No" socks. That's just her style.

If I was Patrice I wouldn't want to change my look either because than if I meet knew people they wouldn't know me has me they will know me has somebody else.I think we shouldn't wear school uniforms because I think we should be able to express yourself.Do you have a style?
